Shamir, Mosheh
(b. 1921)
   Israeli author. He was born in Safed. He served in the Palmah in 1944-5, and later was a member of the Knesset. He edited various Hebrew literary magazines. His works include novels describing Israel's struggle for independence and historical novels, which make indirect criticism of modern Israel.
